Welcome to Haydon House Hotel in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, a place of timeless elegance with a friendly atmosphere.

Situated on the high ground much favoured by wealthy Victorian potters and industrialists, Haydon House Hotel stands sentry over the district of Etruria in Stoke-on-Trent, which for 200 years housed the workforce of Josiah Wedgwood's famous pottery.

Originally built in 1880 by local industrialist Mr Cowlishaw, for himself and his two sisters, Temple House as it was then known had all the elegance of the Victorian Era and boasted nine bedrooms, servants' quarters, stables, an extensive garden, tennis courts and its very own ghost.

The Machin family became the second owners over 50 years ago and the house has remained in their possession since that time with its transformation into Haydon House Hotel in 1980 being designed to retain a wealth of original features.

Today, the Hotel has an elegant, yet friendly atmosphere, offers comfortable Ensuite Accommodation, superb cuisine in the Townhouse Restaurant and a selection of Function Rooms ideal for Conferences, Meetings, Special Occasions and Weddings.
